Born in Wurzburg, Bavaria, Germany in the time before the fall of the Berlin Wall to american military personnel, I "came" to the US as a young human. This resulted in a strange case of me basically being ESL. I grew up around and in the bellies of helicopters since my father was a lifelong aviation mechanic. I do kind of regret not taking that up as a career, I blame my rebellious nature.
Instead, I chose to get into culinary. Across two decades, I've done some pretty awesome stuff, and worked in some pretty awful conditions. I've done personal cooking, catering, banquet, high end bistro, cottage food production and worked as a butcher for a time. I left the culinary world, for good, after a stint in corporate kitchen management.
Now, I am in a retail management position while I try to build a new direction in life. I started to teach myself computer stuff, and I dabble in maker stuff with Arduino and other microcontrollers, I write amateur code (this entire site is hard coded in html/css/javascript). I am a licensed amateur radio operator (GMRS and HAM), and am working on getting my FAA part 107 drone pilot operator license.
